A division of the British Columbia Ministry of Education, Make a Future connects job seekers and employers in BC’s K-12 education sector. Facilitating recruitment through their online portal, and providing guidance and recruitment services for employers.
As an extension of their marketing team, I refreshed their brand and identity system. I designed a brand based on the idea of a ‘Modern Institution’. The logo, colours, typography, advertising, marketing campaigns, and event collateral all reflect this brand. The logo, a contemporary interpretation of traditional institution identities, is less formal and ornate. It takes inspiration from the past but represents the new, modern institution. The logo consists of three main elements: a logomark, wordmark, and tagline. The logomark features a location marker representing BC’s natural beauty including its ocean, mountains, and sun: symbolizing new beginnings, prosperity, and the future.
